Oct 25, 2015. Oddometer: 1,176. Location: Ventura, CA. To my knowledge, the 1290 SAR has never come with a 30L tank. It's always had the 23L tank. The 30L was only available on the discontinued SAT. Hopefully KTM will offer a 30L again some day.

My low fuel warning comes on with 4 liters left - so about 60 kilometers range from there. At the speed range you mentioned using cruise control you should be able to get 17 - 18 kms / liter, maybe 19 - 20 if the running is flat and not into any wind. I plan stops for fuel at around 350 km.
