It gets good mileage and is comfortable for an economy car. The driving experience is strange, though. I've only driven a 5-speed (manual), but it has almost no pick-up whatsoever. I've never timed it, but it takes a good while to get up to speed. Also, the driver's position is odd.
Yep my wife has one, it's a great car, though I do like to take the mick and tell her it's an old ladies car. Surprisingly spacious interior for the size of car, well made/ put together, though the interior is quite bland. Mechanically they're very reliable, and good on fuel. And I've had the scion IA for 6 years, which is the exact same car as the Yaris iA. Which is the same as the 2019+ Yaris Sedan and hatch. The only mechanical problem I had was the driver side window actuator/motor grenading itself. Modern Mazdas are pretty reliable, sometimes topping the charts right behind toyota and Lexus.
If you sell a slow boring car, especially in America where most driving is done at highway speeds, offering a manual doesn't make people want to now buy your slow boring car. But the sales numbers say there was a bunch of manuals left on the lot so away that option goes. 883 votes, 257 comments. 5.5M subscribers in the cars community. r/Cars isHi there, Long time lurker in the sub, first time poster So Iām the process of buying a certified preowned and Iām really undecided between these three cars: Toyota Matrix, Corolla and Yaris hatchback. Iām looking for a car with the following features: -Manual, I get bored driving automatic -Good cargo space for hiking and camping
The noise reduction over earlier models is very noticeable, as is the ultra sharp braking and stability control. The seats are comfortable - not luxurious, but comfortable, with good legroom and height. The engine is willing and more lively than you'd have a right to expect from a one litre car, and can hold it's own on a motorway with little 7vuYwli.
